In a post on LinkedIn, Intelehealth announced that Verma had won the award at the World Quality Congress for the organization’s efforts to deliver ethical, evidence-based, dignified healthcare to underserved communities.

The World Quality Congress & Awards recognize excellence in quality management, leadership, business process improvement, and benchmarking. The Quality Leadership Award honors leaders whose work makes a measurable difference in the lives of others—with emphasis on the quality of their work, rural reach, and contribution to social change.

Intelehealth connects community health workers with remote physicians through telemedicine, extending primary care to regions where doctors are scarce. The award reflects the organization’s sustained focus on quality improvement across India, Kyrgyzstan, and other last-mile health systems.

Verma holds an MS and PhD in Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on telemedicine. She was featured among the 2023 role players at the World Quality Congress.
