From Accelerator to Exchange: Scaling Clinician Innovation Training Beyond the Academic Health Science Centre
Adler Archer, Ewan Ferlie
Building on earlier evaluation of Hexcite—a 16-week entrepreneurship training programme for clinicians at Johns Hopkins—this paper traces the programme’s evolution into the Chesapeake Digital Health Exchange (CDHX) and examines sustainability after federal grant closeout. It argues that conventional evaluation frameworks capture skills and economic outputs but may miss the relational knowledge infrastructure and professional identity work that sustain clinician innovation engagement.
